With the onset of the cold season, the number of respiratory infections increases. October and November are the optimal time to take preventative measures and get vaccinated against influenza and coronavirus infection.

Starting October 9, 2025, the RCMC launched a vaccination campaign against influenza and SARS-CoV-2 for the assigned population.

Immunity after vaccination develops in approximately two weeks, so getting vaccinated now will help you meet the peak of seasonal illnesses with vaccine protection.

Who is especially important to get vaccinated for:

  • People over 65;
  • Patients with chronic diseases and weakened immune systems;
  • Pregnant women;
  • Those undergoing chemotherapy;
  • Employees in healthcare, education, trade, food service, and transportation.

Modern, proven vaccines against influenza and coronavirus infection are used for vaccinations. They can be administered on the same day. Protection after vaccination against influenza lasts up to 9 months, and against SARS-CoV-2, about a year.

Why this is important:
The disease can be severe, with complications such as pneumonia and bacterial infections. Vaccination helps reduce the risk of infection and, most importantly, prevents severe forms of the disease.

To get a referral for vaccination, contact your general practitioner.
