From April 22 to 24, Minsk is hosting the XV Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of the CIS and Eurasia, which traditionally brings together leading specialists in the field of oncology from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and other countries.

On April 23, the Chief Physician of RCMC, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor of the Republic of Belarus Irina Stepanovna Abelskaya took part in the Congress events – the Plenary Session, as well as serving as chair of the sectional session of Section 1 "Radiation diagnostic methods in oncology" and the symposium "Imaging in oncology."

The focus of the Congress participants is on screening, early diagnosis and prevention, personalized medicine, experimental oncology, modern approaches in thoracic oncology, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy, pediatric oncology, palliative care, gynecologic oncology, urologic oncology, breast oncology, hematologic oncology, as well as information technology and artificial intelligence in oncology. The program includes plenary and sectional sessions, symposia and a young scientists' competition. A specialized exhibition is also organized, with the participation of most leading domestic and global manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.

The Congress has become a platform for professional experience exchange and discussion of modern directions in the development of oncological care across the CIS and Eurasia, which will serve as a catalyst for further progress in the field of radiology and diagnostics, treatment and prevention of oncological diseases, and the improvement of cancer care for the population both in the Republic of Belarus and in other countries of the Eurasian region.
