During the conducted master class, minimally invasive surgery for inguinal hernias was performed. Mikhail Sergeyevich Kukharchik, a surgeon from the surgical department of the RCMC, served as the operator in the first operation and assisted the staff of the Baranovichi hospital in the subsequent ones. Many techniques were practiced, and problematic technical and tactical issues that may arise during surgical interventions were addressed. This will facilitate the integration of this modern method for treating inguinal hernias into the practice of the Baranovichi City Hospital.
Additionally, as part of the implementation of the third stage of the "Modern Medicine in Regions" project, on December 4, 2023, an operation was conducted in collaboration with specialists from the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital – laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer. The operating surgeon was Yuri Valeryevich Slobodin, Deputy Chief Surgeon at the RСMC, with Ilya Mikhailovich Salmin, Deputy Chief Surgeon at the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital, as the assistant, and Dmitry Nikolaevich Novikov, an anesthesiologist at the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital, in the anesthesia team.
