On May 22, 2026, the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus hosted the republican seminar with international participation "Innovation and Practice: Development of Nursing 2026", dedicated to International Nurses Day.
The event became a unique dialogue platform aimed at exchanging advanced scientific knowledge and practical experience in nursing practice, and gathered over 150 chief and senior nurses from healthcare institutions across the republic, as well as teachers from medical colleges. An exhibition of products and materials used in nursing practice and pharmaceutical products was organized.
Key thematic areas of the seminar:
- Safety and quality: clinical guidelines and algorithms for error prevention in practice;
- New technologies: the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence in the work of nursing staff;
- Human resources issues.
The Chief Physician of the RCMC of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Irina Stepanovna Abelskaya, Honored Doctor of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, delivered a welcoming address to the seminar participants. She emphasized the importance of supporting and developing nursing within the national healthcare system, highlighting the significance of international knowledge and practice exchange.

M.G. Alekseeva, Epidemiologist of the Infectious and Epidemiological Department of the RCMC of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus;
E.Ya. Rimsha, Senior Nurse-Anesthetist of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care for Cardiac Surgery of the RCMC of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus;
N.A. Trunova, Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics Physician (Head of the Laboratory) of the RCMC of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus;
E.V. Kalacheva, Chief Nurse of the Kuzbass Blood Center (Kemerovo, Russian Federation);

The seminar participants demonstrated a high interest in the topics covered, a readiness to implement modern methods into their practical work, and the event itself became an excellent platform for experience exchange and strengthening professional ties. The knowledge gained and the agreements reached will contribute to improving the quality of medical care at our Center.
