On March 14, 2026, the implementation of the republican educational project "Start Your Heart" began across the country.

Specialists from the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, 16 medical colleges, 4 medical universities, Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital, and over the course of 7 Saturdays, will be teaching 10th-grade students first aid skills, such as:

• Basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  
• Airway obstruction management;
  
• Bleeding control techniques;
  
• Limb immobilization methods;
  
• Actions in emergency conditions.
  

At the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, the project launch was jointly attended by students from Gymnasium No. 4 of Minsk and Gymnasium No. 20 of Minsk, along with Minister of Education Andrei Ivanovich Ivanets and Minister of Health Alexander Valerievich Khodzhaev.

Minister of Health A. Khodzhaev: "Today we are launching the 'Start Your Heart' campaign for the second time. It is important to understand that the career guidance component of this campaign is important, but it is not the leading one. The main thing is that the students have the opportunity to practice the skills necessary to save lives on simulation equipment with feedback and gain confidence that they can save someone's life. And for those students who want to connect their lives with medicine, it helps them understand whether they want to become a doctor or a nurse."

Minister of Education A. Ivanets: "In 2024, 20,000 tenth-graders from across the country participated in the campaign; this year we plan to train the same number of students. This is a good addition to the school subject 'Pre-conscription and Medical Training.' Within the framework of the campaign, each participant will practice and reinforce their first aid skills on mannequins and gain confidence in their actions."

Deputy Chief Physician for Surgery of the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Society for Simulation Training in Medicine, which was the initiator of this project in 2024, Y. Slobodin: "It is becoming a good tradition to launch the 'Start Your Heart' project at our institution. Two ministries that supported the initiative 2 years ago are with us again. At this very moment, the project is being launched across the entire country. Medical colleges and universities, healthcare institutions are welcoming the first 10th-grade students of this year to pass on to them these essential life-saving knowledge and skills."

Over the next 7 Saturdays, the country's tenth-graders will be under the motto "Learning to Save Lives!"

The project will conclude with a large-scale thematic flash mob on May 15, 2026.
