The training program (8 academic hours) is modular. A training module is an individual course within the program. We offer two modules -- the theory module and the practice module. The theory module is used to cover the most actual issues of disinfection and sterilization of endoscopic equipment in line with:
- Order of Ministry of Health Care of the Republic of Belarus No. 73 dated June 5, 2017, “On the approval of Sanitary Regulations “Sanitary and Epidemiological Requirements to Institutions Providing Medical Services, Including Requirements to the Organization and Performance of Sanitary and Antiepidemic Activities to Prevent Infectious Disease at these Institutions””;
- Order of Ministry of Health Care of the Republic of Belarus No. 163 dated October 23, 2003, “On the approval of Regulations for Infectious Disease Prevention During Endoscopic Manipulations”;
- Order of Ministry of Health Care of the Republic of Belarus No. 165 dated November 25, 2002, “On Performing Disinfection and Sterilization in Healthcare Institutions”;
- World Gastroenterology Organization Practice Guidelines. Endoscope Disinfection;
- operating manuals of various washing and disinfection stations;
- guidelines on sanitary processing of gastrointestinal videoscopes, video colonoscopes and flexible bronchoscopes.
The practical module is dedicated to mastering practical skills using modern endoscopic equipment provided by the Simulation Center.
After the completionof the course, case problems are offered to trainees for solving in real time
using the acquired skills. Trainees succeeding in the practical test will be
issued completion certificates.
