Equipment: multi-function patient simulator for training emergency medical service provision featuring the ability to use real-life monitoring and resuscitation equipment (USA).
training duration - 8 hours
number of listeners – 4 to 6 students
The training program is modular. A training module is an individual course within the program. We offer two modules -- the theory module and the practice module.
The theory training module covers the most relevant topics of emergency medical assistance to patients affected by anaphylactic reaction in accordance with Order of Ministry of Health Care of the Republic of Belarus No. 50 dated June 1, 2017 “On the approval of clinical protocols “Emergency Medical Assistance to Patients Affected by Anaphylaxia”” and modern cardiopulmonary resuscitation protocols adopted by European Resuscitation Council in 2015.
The practical module is dedicated to the development of hands-on skills with the use of modern trainers and simulators relating to:
- evaluation of the status of vital functions of the patient;
- stages of resuscitation activities;
- medical staff team activity coordination in the provision of medical aid;
- optimal selection of the air supply device for respiratory assistance;
- advisability of parenteral access (intravenous and intraosseous) during emergency resuscitation activities in cases of anaphylaxy;
- performance of cardiopulmonary activities and assessment of their adequacy;
- performance of external shock therapy in cases of hemodynamically significant cardiac disruptions;
- performance of emergency conicotomy.
The uniqueness of the training program is that trainees’ skills are enhanced at advanced trainers and simulators of the Simulation Center.
After the completion of the training course, trainees will carry out a simulation scenario (solving a specific simulation problem in real time with the use of manual skills). Trainees succeeding in the practical test will be issued completion certificates.
