Aerocryotherapy

LOCAL CRYOTHERAPY is a therapeutic technique which is based on the reaction of the body to the effect of brief exposures to low and extra-low temperatures, and has a pain relieving and anti-inflammatory effect.

The procedure is performed with the use of the Cryoflow 1000 IR station made by GymnaUniphy (Belgium/Germany).

Treatment action is localized, and is achieved by a stream of cold air. The station is unique in that it is equipped with a biolofeedback system which features a device enabling remote monitoring of the patient’s skin temperature. This eliminates the risk of exposing tissues to excessive cold and injuring them. Air temperature reaches -35 to -40 °С.

Aerocryotherapy enables treatment in cases when the patient’s skin is damaged. It provides a marked anti-inflammatory, anti-edema and pain relieving action, and makes it possible to reduce drug treatment, relieve muscle spasms, improve microcirculation, arterial blood flow, lymph circulation and venous blood efflux.

The effect continues for about three hours.

Key indications to the therapy:

Sprains, dislocations, bruises, edemas, inflammations, fractures, contractures, impairments of microcirculation, oesteoarthritis, post-injury arthrosis, epicondylitis, styloiditis, tendinitis, tendovaginitis, synovitis, synovial chondromatosis, plantar aponeurositis, scapulohumeral periarthritis, enthesopathy and reflectory muscle spasm.

Dermatocosmetologic indications: dermatitis, dermatosis, neurodermatitis, erythema, acne and seborrhea.
