Treatment of oncologic diseases, thanks to endoscopic surgery, is becoming more effective. This technique allows surgical intervention with high precision, minimal risk of complications and a fast period of patient recovery after surgery.
SURGICAL ENDOSCOPIC TREATMENT OF UROLOGIC ONCOLOGIC DISEASES AT THE RCMC
Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer
It is a surgical method of treatment of prostate cancer, which consists in the complete removal of the prostate gland with the seminal complex, as well as, if necessary, with the performance of extended lymphodissection - depending on the risk group of the detected prostate malignancy.
This method is the global gold standard for the surgical treatment of prostate cancer.
Radical laparoscopic prostatectomy is performed in our Center. This method has a number of advantages over open surgery, especially in the early postoperative period. Access is performed through several punctures in the lower abdomen. Due to the excellent visualization during the operation, this method allows to achieve good oncological and functional results (urinary retention and possible preservation of erectile function).
Laparoscopic access promotes early activation of the patient, absence of pronounced postoperative pain syndrome, low number of infectious complications.
The average hospital stay takes up to 5-6 days.
Laparoscopic BPH-ectomy
One of the methods of surgical treatment of prostatic hyperplasia. It refers to minimally invasive treatment methods.
Indications for laparoscopic removal of prostate adenoma are Extremely large prostate gland volume (exceeding 250 cm3).
This surgical intervention is performed through several punctures in the lower abdomen. It is characterized by a short hospital stay, usually 4-5 days.
The effectiveness of this method is comparable to other methods of prostate removal, in particular - holmium enucleation and transrectal resection.
Laparoscopic organ-preserving resection for malignant and benign renal neoplasms
Laparoscopic kidney resection is a modern organ-preserving method of treatment of malignant neoplasm of the kidney. This method allows preserving the kidney while removing the malignant tumor.
In our Center, a laparoscopic radical resection of the kidney is performed through several punctures in the abdomen, the renal vessels are isolated, and the tumor is visualized. After vessel clamping or without clamping, the tumor is removed within healthy tissue.
This method is the world standard for the treatment of malignant neoplasms of the kidney.
Laparoscopic access allows to reduce postoperative pain syndrome, the likelihood of infectious complications, promotes early activation of the patient.
The hospital stay is about 3 days.
SURGICAL PREPARATION
For each patient, the preparation is prescribed individually, based on the patient's medical condition and available examination results.
