Preoperative preparation for joint endoprosthetics
Preparation for endoprosthetic surgery and the postoperative period will minimise risks such as prosthesis rejection and trauma. The recovery phase after surgery will be as beneficial and uncomfortable as possible.

PREOPERATIVE PREPARATION FOR ENDOPROSTHESIS OF LOWER LIMB JOINTS AT RCMC


It includes:

  • Consultation with a rehabilitation specialist - familiarising the patient with rehabilitation methods in the early postoperative period and the amount of physical activity after endoprosthetic surgery
  • Classes with a physical rehabilitation instructor - teaching the patient to walk without support on the limb to be operated on, using additional means of support (crutches), learning the skills of daily activity (getting up with correct distribution of body weight, transferring from bed to chair, etc.), teaching correct chest and diaphragmatic breathing, coughing.


HOW TO UNDERGO PREOPERATIVE PREPARATION FOR LOWER LIMB JOINT ENDOPROSTHETICS AT THE RCMC


To apply to the Centre you need:

  1. To conclude an agreement for an initial consultation with a rehabilitation doctor
  2. Come to your appointment with your medical documents. You must provide an orthopaedic traumatologist's report.
  3. Pay the invoice at the RCMC cash desk or via ERIP
