Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a method of treating diseases of the nervous system by externally stimulating the cerebral cortex with short magnetic pulses.
INDICATIONS FOR TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION, NEUROMUSCULAR MAGNETIC STIMULATION PROCEDURES
- Neuropathic pain.
- Complex regional pain syndrome.
- The effects of cerebral infarcts.
- Spasticity in multiple sclerosis..
- Fibromyalgia.
- Neurodegenerative diseases of the CNS (Parkinson's disease).
- Psychiatric disorders (anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, cognitive disorders, schizophrenia, Tourette's syndrome, bulimia, ASD, ADHD, panic attacks)
- Migraine.
- Epilepsy.
- Addictive disorders (nicotine and alcohol dependence).
- Dystonia.
- Tinnitus.
- Vertebrogenic pathology (including myofascial pain syndrome).
- Pelvic floor muscle disorders.
TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION IN THE RCMC
A short-term electrical impulse is applied from the TMC device to the coil (stimulating electrode) - a magnetic field is formed, which painlessly affects the cerebral cortex through the skin and skull bones, causing weak electrical currents in the nerve cells. These currents activate nerve cells (neurons). The activated neurons begin to transmit signals to other neurons, which has a positive effect on brain function. This helps to restore function after a stroke, reduce pain, and improve mood.
The apparatus also allows you to influence the peripheral nervous system.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Implanted metal structures in the cranial cavity/area of exposure.
- Artificial pacemakers.
- Implanted hearing aids, cochlear implants.
- Insulin pumps.
- Inflammatory changes in the skin at the site of exposure.
- New growths in the exposure projection.
- Complex rhythm disorders.
RELATIVE CONTRAINDICATIONS
Pregnancy.
